THE PROFIT OF THE EARTH
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all
Even the King get served by the field Eccl.5:9
You may ask me
If the profit of the earth is for all
Then why are some very poor
And some have too much to live with
Why are some managing with little?
Why some don’t even have at all
That was the same questions I asked too
The day this scripture came alive to me
But the Holy Spirit answered me with a question
I lived in Ibadan around that time
And the then Governor of Oyo State
Ensure a free flow of pipe borne water
To every citizen of the State
So the Holy Spirit asked me
Whose fault is it?
That not all the citizen has water
Flowing freely in their compound
My answer was simple and short
Because not all houses in Oyo State
Are plumbed to have water in their compound
So even when the water was free and flowing
A lot still go a long distance to fetch water
And until their houses are well plumbed
To be connected to the State water supply
They may live all their lives
Never benefited from that supply of water
So also with the profit of the earth
Though it is for all as the water was for all
But you may never get a supply
Until you plumb into it
So how do I plumb myself
Into the profit of the earth
How do I make the earth pay my bills
Put food on my table and
Be a blessing to those that do not have
And the revelation I got that day
Pushed me to take a drastic step
Toward securing my own share
Of all that heaven has loaded the earth with
For the sake of everyone
