AND WERE NOT ASHAMED

I love the ending of Gen.2:25
They were both naked to each other
And were never ashamed of what they saw
There are a lot of things you will know better
When you get married
That you may not really know
Until you are living with each other
There are revelations that will shock you
But you don’t have to be ashamed of them
Give your spouse freedom of expression
Encourage them not to be ashamed to be real  

Many people have shameful addictions
That their spouse may not be aware of
Until they are married and living together
Your spouse will make some mistakes
That you don’t have to feel shameful about
But go through it together as one
There are other times that your spouse
Will get involve in shameful things
That may had a call on you too
You don’t need to disassociate yourself
But look for a way out of it as being one flesh

DON’T BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SPOUSE FINANCES
One of the family major pillars is money
And the lack of it can put a family on danger line
If it is not well handle by both parties
It can generates a lot of unnecessary pressure
Learning to live with what you have with love
Is the foundation for a peaceful family life
So no matter the level of your family finance
You don’t have to be ashamed of it
Don’t compare your spouse financial capacity
To that of a friend or relatives
Learn to live within your income
Look for ways to expand your earnings together
To be able to meet more of your needs
The fact that you don’t have much today
Is never a conclusion that you will not
Have enough tomorrow
So don’t be ashamed of what you have now

DON’T BE ASHAMED OF YOUR
SPOUSE FAMILY BACKGROUND
Your background cannot be the same
Your spouse family will not think, live and act
Just like your own family used to
Their level of finances will not be the same
The level of their educations will not be the same
Their life exposure will be different
You may even come from different tribes and clan
Your language perhaps may differs
But irrespective of how bad it may look
Accept your spouse family background
Don’t be ashamed of it nor make your spouse
Feel ashamed of where he/she is from
Your spouse future is not going to be dictated
By where he/she came from
Accept your spouse background with him/her
And be proud to be associated with them

DON’T BE ASHAMED OF YOUR
SPOUSE PHYSICAL IMPEDIMENT
I used to think cripples will always marry cripples
Until I saw a cripple married a beautiful damsel
With no physical disability in Lagos Nigeria
I have also seen a blind girl got hooked with
A handsome looking man well placed
Speech impediment and other physical shortcomings
That could not be worked on or changed
Should not make you to be ashamed of your spouse
It is so interesting to discover that things like
The way a spouse look, dress, speak, walk and talk
Do generates issues in relationship too
But these are things that could be worked on
And thus should not be an issue of shame

DON’T BE ASHAMED
OF YOUR SPOUSE PAST EXPERIENCES
When your spouse let you into his/her past
As a result of the principle of total nakedness
You will do well to honor, respect and
Accept him/her with all the good
The bad and the ugly of their past
Be proud that they could make it through those
Ugly experiences that liters their yesterdays
Don’t start digging up the wound of your spouse
By giving him/her an attitude
When they come naked to you with their past
Bury their shame of the past and let it past
Don’t be feeling bad and ashamed of the things
That they have been through
It is tasking carrying the burden of the past
So let it off their neck and move on to your destiny

DON’T BE ASHAMED
OF YOUR SPOUSE WEAKNESS
People are not how they sometimes look outside
You may likely change your view about people
If you spend sometimes living with them
But as one with your spouse it is your duty
To help and assist to overcome his/her weakness
Accept the person of your spouse
Don’t make the mistake
Of trying to change your spouse
Be one another’s strength and pillar to learn on

Leave your Parents
Cleave to your wife
Be one with each other
Be naked with no secrets
And don’t be ashamed of each other
Genesis 2:24-25
