YES YOU CAN BORROW 2Kg.4:3

She had a situation at hand
Very critical that her two sons’ destiny
Lies at the mercy of her decisions
Her husband has spent their future on debt
She knew not what to do
But she remembered the Prophet
Running to him to borrow to settle debt
That her God fearing late husband incurred

But to her surprise
The Man of God will not lent her monies
She reminded him of the faithfulness
And the commitment of her husband
To God and the Man of God
Just to get something out of the Prophet’s pocket
But he was not sentimental
Because he knew her husband borrowing attitude
Got them into this mess
He was a man that spent more than he earned
Always borrowing to meet unnecessary needs
That could have been avoided
If he disciplined himself

He is a man full of anointing
But his financial intelligence is poor
His reverence to God is uncompromised
But his borrowing culture
Was a spot on his integrity
A few in the assembly knew him well
As a man that borrows and seldom pay back
Then he began to lose respect among his followers
They prefer to listen to his sermon
Than live a kind of life that he lived

So Elisha will not want the woman
To walk in the foot step of her husband
Who will not manage the little he has
With honor and discipline
But will rather borrow to live up
To people’s expectations of him
Buying liabilities on credit

But Elisha sought to make the woman realized
What they have is enough to meet their needs
“Everybody has got needs too
In fact there are people who earn less
Than your husband and yet have never
Got themselves entangle in debt”
But the woman like her husband said
“We have got nothing. Even the oil
That we have at home is so little
That it cannot meet our needs.
Assuming it is more we will manage it well”
But Elisha said to her
“You don’t need to have more to manage well
You only need to manage the little you have
To become more”

So Elisha gave her a Prophetic business Consultancy
To go and borrow vessels not a few
To make the oil multiply and increase
Then she can sell, settle her debt
And live on the rest

She was amazed that Elijah
Still wants her to borrow again
But he told her “Yes you can borrow”
If it is to increase your knowledge
To manage what you have to become more
If it is to increase your earning capacity
If it is to make you produce more
It is a good borrowing

Borrow knowledge of how to make things work
From your neighbor who is commanding result

Borrow knowledge not a few

Through books your neighbors have writing

Through direct mentoring and schooling
Seminars and Conferences that
Increases your market value
Borrow their contacts for opportunities
Borrow their recommendations for openings

If it will put money in your pockets
If it will make you debt free
If it will not put you under servitude
If it will move you from begging to lending
Then go ahead

She went in and did just as instructed
And the result was a debt free life
Emerging from a life riddled with debt

You too can turn the little that you earn
The little profit you are making
The little abilities that you have
The little talent that lies within you
The little ideas in your brain
That little dream in your heart
The little gifting that you possess
Put money into your pocket
And meet all your needs
You can make that ideas pay you dividend
That oil on you can sustain you
If you will learn and borrow all that it takes
To make it work and lift you
Out of perpetual borrowing
Lack has no respect for your denomination
And borrowing does not cure wants
But through knowledge you can enter fortune
And make it good for you and our family
