START FROM WHERE YOU ARE
“You
don’t have to pack up your bags
and
go to the Congo to make a difference.” says Droga.
You can influence your world right
from where you are
I usually think a man can only make mark
in the US
But Nelson Mandela put me right
By writing a lyric with his life
right in South Africa
And the world over sings his song of
victory
Bishop Oyedepo did not go far to make
his mark
He is touching the world right from Nigeria
Even Jesus did not tour the World
to make a difference
He captured the world from Israel
And it is revealing to see God asking
Abraham
To seize the land by seeing far just
from where he is
“Give me a place to stand
And I will move my world” said
Archimedes
Just from where you are you can make
the difference
You can work to change a small
portion of the world’s event
By changing lives
Anytime you mend the broken heart
You heal the sick
And you give the good news to the
poor
You are writing the history of this
generation
Just as Robert F. Kennedy said
“It is from numberless diverse acts
of courage
And belief that human history is
shaped
Each time a man stands for an ideal
Or act to improve the lot of others
Or strike out against injustice
He sends forth a tiny ripple of hope”
Stand from the comfort of your haven
today
And start sending forth your own
ripple of hope
By living a life that count
Becoming something in somebody’s life
Shape some body’s faith
Influence someone’s life
Let someone have a reason to live
again
Just because of your existence
Right from where you are
Your occupation notwithstanding
Dare to make a difference
Shalom
