HE WILL SOON TURN THE TABLE

No one may know
The war that lingers inside you
For the beauty of your face
And the smile that powder it
Give a note everything is alright

Yet you may be hurt inside
Wounded and battered inside
By the pains of what evolve around you
Yes by the pains of what you are facing now

And sometimes memory may act so badly too
Bringing near the sorrows of yester-years
While a times it’s good drawing closer
The good events of the past

But nevertheless
You need to know
That man may not always be there for you
For not too many people may be able to read
Your mind through your eyes

To be able to know when your heart
Is crying out for embrace and shelter
From the events that ravage your joy
But there is someone I know
Who is unlimited in sight
For your situations to escape his glance

He sees when your fund goes so low
And you manage to survive the day
He knows your deepest pain and your secret tears
Even the voice of your cry
That you shed when no one is near

His name is Jesus
He has promised never to leave us in our pains

When the pain is unbearable
And the hurt even the wound
May all refuse to be healed
When you assay to take your leave
Out of the told past to the untold future

To start afresh even a new life
Living beyond your past and the mistakes made
With your mind made up
Not to be moved no matter what may
Yet situation may walk the other way round
Negating entirely all your plans
Dashing your hope and frustrating your counsel

But look
Time is tied to everything
Giving you this assurance
That things don’t last always
In a twinkle of an eye
These will all be over
And the rejection with the despise
That challenges your existence
Will all be a tales told

Just stay glued to Him
That knows you beyond your name
Don’t compromise nor give in now
For no matter how today looks like
Believe me tomorrow is better

Though your need go naked
And your longing is starved
Though your clothes grow old
And no dough to fix your hair
Though sometimes the tear may come
And no one may be there
To implant in you hope for the future

Yet be strong and courageous
For tomorrow has a better thing
To spell out for you
And one day like a dream
This table will be turned

Yes He said he will overturn and overturn it
Until he comes whose turn it is
And He will give it to you

Putting an end to crying yourself to bed at night
And wishing you were somebody else other than yourself

So be strong
Cos he is turning the table in your favour.
