IN SEARCH OF LOVE

Where is the humanity in man?
Where is the conscience of value for lives?
Why do people allow hates in their hearts?
So much that they are not only willing to take lives of others
But are also ready to die doing it

You hate a government’s action
So you unleash terror on her people
You hate a religion
And you take lives of its believers
You believe your opinion is right
So you kill all who doesn’t share same view

Displeasure at a system, a belief, an action or a deed
Need not generate in you
Such hate that makes you lose your humanity
And love for your neighbours and country

Where is the love that you were born with
Before you were taught differently?

As the world is moved by the attacks in Paris
It is an awful reminder to all of us that this world needs prayer

So as we pray for Paris and the families of those affected
Let not forget to pray for Lebanon, Nigeria, Iraq, and Thailand
And let send our comfort to those visited with terror
In the rest of the 26 Nations of the world
Facing terrorist attack in the past five months

So to those feeling the hit of all these attacks
I mean the family and the love ones of those
Whose lives are claimed in this terror
May God comfort and console you
May He ease your pain where it hurts most deeply

And let us remember that you can not
Drive out violence with violence
Nor drive out hate with hate

“The ultimate weakness of violence is
That it is a descending spiral,
Begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
But you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.

Through violence you may murder the hater,
But you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
Adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
Only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate
Only love can do that.” are the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.

So in this hard time facing the world
We all need each other to live.

Peace to the world.

Selah.
