THE HOPE TO COPE IN DIFFICULT TIMES

Though we met in Frankfurt 
But he lives in Detroit US 
And to him I write this piece from my heart 
Silver and gold I have none 
But such as I have I give to you 
To make you strong in this hard time. 

Sometimes we fall into such feelings  
Especially when things don’t go our way  
And our heart is full of hurt and heaviness  
We do ask so many questions 
And the most common is why me? 

But this is to you for all your struggles  
For all the time you sleep late at night  
For all the pain you hold sometimes  
For the tears that you cry when no one is looking  
For all the secrets you hold so tight  

This goes for all the times you find it hard to cope  
But you keep living and holding on anyway  
For all the weakness you cry He takes away  
For all the tears you shed when life comes hard on you  
For your hope that has been dashed many times  
For the care and the love you never have  
For all the privileges that you wish you have  

I have been in your shoe all my life  
And all I can say is ‘you are not alone  
And your story won’t end in this mess 
If you find the courage to keep at it  
And find the hope to live beyond your issues' 
  
This is for all your worries and sleepless night 
For the tears you cry and the broken heart  
For all the things you have done and everything you regret  
For all your needs and desire that were never met  
For the joy and the happiness that you have lost

There is hope beyond all your struggles  
There is joy beyond all your troubles  
There is victory for every sorrow you have seen  
There is nothing you are going through that you can't bear  

Beyond your dreams and fears  
Beyond all your shortcomings  
Beyond what you cherish and what you regret  
Beyond the difficulty of trying to live saved  

Is a Father that wont give up on you  
He knows about all you are going through  
His cord of love never leaves you 

And no matter how hard it may be 
Please don’t give up 
You have come too far to quit at this point 
You are more closer than you began 
The blue ribbon is just some steps ahead 
Keep stepping and you will receive the prize 
Things don’t last always 
And what you are going through won't last forever 

The smile on you and the beautiful clothes that you wear 
May hide the pains and the sorrows 
That are locked up in you from the gaze of men 
But He knows about it
